Elvis Presley’s 79th Birthday celebrated in Memphis
Written by admin on January 8, 2014 – 7:06 am -Elvis Presley would have celebrated his 79th Birthday today and there are the usual events in Memphis to mark the occasion, including a Proclamation Ceremony at Graceland.
Knox Phillips, son of Sun Records founder Sam Phillips, will help cut the cake at this morning’s Proclamation Ceremony which takes place at 9:30am CST on Graceland’s North Lawn. Fans can watch the event via the Graceland Livestream. David Thibault, a 16-year-old Canadian Elvis fan whose renditions of Elvis songs made him a YouTube sensation, will be on hand to sing “Happy Birthday”.
