The download-only collections “The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963” and The Beach Boys’ “The Big Beat 1963” will be released on December 17.

Both releases are designed to satisfy European copyright laws. From 2014, the EU copyright protection on sound recordings is extended from 50 to 70 years, but this protection does not extend to recordings that have never been released.

“The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963” comprises 59 tracks, including 15 studio outtakes and 41 live BBC tracks to add to the performances already released on “Live At The BBC” and the recent “On Air: Live At The BBC Volume 2”.
