Christopher Walken to appear in Jersey Boys movie
Written by admin on July 25, 2013 – 10:06 am -Christopher Walken has been cast in Clint Eastwood’s film adaptation of the Jersey Boys musical, according to Deadline.
Walken will play mobster Angelo “Gyp” DeCarlo, who worked with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons during their rise to fame.
Vincent Piazza of Boardwalk Empire is rumoured to be in the running for the part of Tommy Devito. It’s also rumoured that John Lloyd Young, Erich Bergen and Michael Lomenda will reprise their Jersey Boys stage roles of Frank Valli, Bob Gaudio and Nick Massi, respectively.
The film was scripted by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Graham King and Rob Lorenz will produce, and Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio of the Four Seasons are on board as executive producers. Production is expected to begin mid-September in Los Angeles
Jersey Boys has been a huge success since debuting on Broadway in 2005, winning several Tony awards, and an Olivier award for the production in London’s West End.
