Paul McCartney returning to San Francisco’s Candlestick Park
Written by admin on April 25, 2014 – 2:09 pm -Paul McCartney will play the final show at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park on August 14th, 48 years after the Beatles played their last paid concert at the venue.
Mayor Ed Lee personally invited McCartney to close the ballpark, but the plan was almost scuppered when the city faced competition from the 49ers, who wanted McCartney to play the first gig at their new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in August.
