Loleatta Holloway dies aged 64
Written by admin on March 23, 2011 – 7:00 am -| Disco and soul diva Loleatta Holloway died on Monday from heart failure at Chicago’s Advocate South Suburban Hospital, according to her manager Ron Richardson. She was 64-years-old.
Chicago-born Holloway recorded six studio albums between 1973 and 1980 and had a string of dance hits, including the classic “Love Sensation.” |

- the 40th anniversary CD/DVD edition of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” on Mar 8
- deluxe reissues of the first five Queen albums on Mar 22 (Mar 14 in the UK)
- the 12-CD set of Aretha Franklin’s Capital sessions on Mar 22
- the reissue of Derek & the Dominos’ “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” on Mar 29 (Mar 21 in the UK) – available in standard, deluxe, super deluxe and vinyl editions.
