The New Releases page has been updated to include music CD, DVD and Blu-ray releases for August.

Highlights for August include:

• a series of Johnny Cash albums, including a Number Ones deluxe edition (Aug 7)
• a 20-CD box set featuring some of Elvis Presley’s strongest albums (Aug 14)
• “Two Sides – The Very Best Of Mike Oldfield” and deluxe editions of “Platinum” and “QE2” (Aug 14)
• “Kinks at the BBC” 5-CD/single DVD box set (Aug 21)
• Lynyrd Skynyrd’s new album “Last of a Dyin’ Breed” (Aug 21)
• “Roxy Music – Complete Studio Recordings” 10-CD box set (Aug 28)
• Art Garfunkel – The Singer” 2-CD collection (Aug 28)
• remastered editions of 12 original Frank Zappa albums (Aug 28).

Sony Legacy will release “Johnny Cash – Complete Columbia Albums Collection” in October, which will feature an incredible 63 discs, comprising 59 Columbia albums (on 60 CDs) and three bonus discs that will include Sun Records material, singles and B-sides.

Further details have emerged about the “Elvis – Prince From Another Planet” release, which marks the 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s gigs at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

“Elvis – Prince From Another Planet” will be released as a 2-CD/DVD set containing remixed editions of the afternoon and evening shows from June 10, 1972, previously unseen footage from the afternoon show, and footage of the press conference. Remastered editions of the shows will also feature on a 2-CD Legacy Edition of “Elvis: As Recorded At Madison Square Garden”.

The tracklist for the highly-anticipated “Elvis Presley: A Boy From Tupelo” box set has now leaked, and looks very promising, including a total of 20 unreleased performances.

The project covers Elvis’ early career on the Sun Records label through a meticulously researched 512-page book and three CDs that include all available Sun recordings and an impressive collection of live performances from the period. The recent “I Forgot To Remember To Forget” discovery will not be on the set.
