Linda Ronstadt’s new compilation, “Duets,” has given Ronstadt her highest placing on the US album chart since her 1990 album “Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind.”

“Duets” entered the Billboard 200 at #32 a week after Ronstadt was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She did not attend the ceremony because she suffers from Parkinson’s disease and finds travel difficult, but there was an all-star tribute to her during the ceremony by Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Carrie Underwood, and Glenn Frey.

An album of new music from Michael Jackson is on the way in May. “XSCAPE” will feature eight previously unreleased recordings, which have been worked on by some of the world’s top producers, including Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate and John McClain. There will also be a deluxe edition of the album featuring all of the recordings in their original form.

“Rod Stewart – Tonight’s The Night: Live 1976-1998” is a new 4-CD box set that features 58 previously unreleased live highlights from Rod Stewart’s tours of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. The collection features well known classics such as “Maggie May,” “You Wear It Well,” and “Every Picture Tells A Story,” lesser known album tracks, and covers of Brit pop material by Primal Scream and Oasis.
