Bobby Rogers of The Miracles dies aged 73
Written by admin on March 4, 2013 – 7:43 pm -Bobby Rogers, founding member of the Motown group the Miracles, died yesterday (March 3) in Detroit. He was 73.
The Miracles’ lead singer, Smokey Robinson, has paid tribute to Rogers in a statement:
“Another soldier in my life has fallen. Bobby Rogers was my brother and a really good friend. He and I were born on the exact same day in the same hospital in Detroit. I am really going to miss him. I loved him very much.”

Otis “Damon” Harris of The Temptations dies aged 62
Written by admin on February 24, 2013 – 8:24 pm -Otis “Damon” Harris, who sang with The Temptations in the 1970s, died on February 18 at Baltimore’s Joseph Richey Hospice after a long battle with cancer. He was 62.

New exhibit celebrates Motown girl groups
Written by admin on January 24, 2013 – 6:01 pm -The Supremes, the Vandellas, the Marvelettes, the Velvelettes and the Andantes will be the focus of a new exhibit on Motown’s girl groups which opens at Detroit’s Motown Historical Museum on Thursday, January 31.
