Rolling Stones confirm tour of Australia and New Zealand
Written by admin on November 20, 2013 – 5:32 pm -The Rolling Stones will tour Australia and New Zealand next year, commencing with a gig at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval on March 22. This will be the first time that the Stones have played Australia since their “A Bigger Bang” gigs in 2006.
The band made a return to the stage in late 2012 in celebration of their 50th anniversary, and then embarked on the highly successful “50 & Counting Tour” this year, which included an appearance at Glastonbury and a return to Hyde Park in London.
Former member, Mick Taylor, will be a special guest for the Adelaide show.
Promoters, Fronting Touring and AEG Live, will announce full Australia/New Zealand tour details in the coming weeks.
Asian tour dates are also expected to be announced shortly.
The Rolling Stones’ “50 & Counting Tour” has been commemorated with the recent release of “The Rolling Stones: Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live”. This is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and in deluxe editions. Further information is available via the links below:

“Released: The Human Rights Concerts 1986-1998” – Six DVD box set
Written by admin on November 13, 2013 – 6:02 pm -Amnesty International has released a six-DVD box set of material from its Human Rights concerts of 1986-1998, featuring performances by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, U2, Lou Reed, Sting, Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, Joni Mitchell, and many more.
The set features nearly 17 hours of content, comprising over 12 hours of footage from four concerts, and close to five hours of bonus content.

Paul Simon and Sting to tour together in 2014

The pair will perform on stage together and also separately with their own bands.

Fleetwood Mac cancel tour
Written by admin on October 27, 2013 – 6:06 pm -Fleetwood Mac have announced that their tour of Australia and New Zealand has been cancelled because bassist John McVie will be undergoing treatment for cancer.
The following notice was posted on the band’s Facebook page:
“Fleetwood Mac who has just completed the European leg of their phenomenally successful worldwide tour has announced the cancellation of their upcoming 14 date tour of Australia and New Zealand. John McVie, one of the co founding and original members of Fleetwood Mac is now scheduled to be in treatment for cancer during that period of time. We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates. We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best.”
