Rolling Stones to appear at London Olympics?
Written by admin on May 3, 2011 – 6:01 pm -The Rolling Stones and Coldplay are among a number of top acts rumoured to be performing at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Oscar-winning, “Slumdog Millionaire” film director, Danny Boyle, is directing the opening ceremony, which seems to be shaping up to be a showcase for rock royalty. The Stones’ frontman, Sir Mick Jagger, has already been linked to the event with the rumour that he will perform as part of a British supergroup with Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and John Lydon.

The full line-up of this summer’s three-day Glastonbury festival has been announced today. As expected, the headliners on the Pyramid stage are U2 (Fri, 24 June), Coldplay (Sat, 25 June) and Beyoncé (Sun, 26 June). |
