Tom Jones in hospital after cancelling gig

Sir Tom Jones has issued a statement to clarify that the cancellation of last night’s gig in Monte Carlo was due to “severe dehydration” and not a heart scare, as reported by some news outlets.

Jones spent the night in Princess Grace Hospital in Monte Carlo, and is said to be doing well.

The Who to headline Olympic closing show?

The Who will headline the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, according to the Daily Mirror.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend were reportedly asked to play at the event by Take That producer Kim Gavin, who is in charge of the ceremony.

Diana Ross continues greatest hits tour

Diana Ross is back on the road next month for the latest shows in her highly successful “More Today Than Yesterday: The Greatest Hits Tour.”

The 17-date tour will include Ross’s first concert in San Francisco since she performed there with the Supremes in 1969.

Dylan and Knopfler to tour together

Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler will go on the road together this autumn with a series of European dates, beginning in Dublin, Ireland on October 6.

Knopfler first worked with Dylan in 1979 when he played on the “Slow Train Coming” sessions. He also produced Dylan’s 1983 album “Infidels.”
