Eric Clapton is celebrating his 50th year as a professional musician with a series of UK concerts next year, including five nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall. His career kicked off in October 1963 when he joined the Yardbirds at age 18.

Clapton will be joined on stage for the 2013 dates by long-time collaborators Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Steve Jordan (drums), Chris Stainton (piano and keyboards), and Willie Weeks (bass); and new members Paul Carrack (organ and keyboards) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar). Michelle John and Sharon White will return on backing vocals.

A two-hour movie featuring Led Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion concert at London’s O2 Arena will be shown at cinemas across the world on October 17, before a DVD/Blu-ray release on November 19.

The movie, titled “Led Zeppelin – Celebration Day,” was directed by Dick Carruthers.

Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder and Sting are among the acts who will appear at the Children’s Health Fund 25th Anniversary Benefit Concert at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on October 4.

The Children’s Health Fund was co-founded by Paul Simon and Dr. Irwin Redlener, with a mission to bring doctors to America’s most vulnerable children.

The Rolling Stones will play gigs in New York and London later this year, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

Rolling Stone reports that the band will play two gigs at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center before the end of the year, and two gigs at London’s O2 Arena in November.

Crosby, Stills & Nash will perform a special charity concert on September 26 to support the Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery, and to celebrate 30 Years of the Midwives Alliance.

The show, presented by The Guacamole Fund, kicks off at 7.30pm at the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA (San Carlos at Ninth Ave., 93921).
