The Rolling Stones rock Glastonbury
Written by admin on June 30, 2013 – 4:34 am -The Rolling Stones’ highly anticipated appearance at Glastonbury was a triumph last night as the band entertained tens of thousands of music lovers with a hit-filled two-hour set.
The show continues the Rolling Stones’ 50 and Counting Tour, which concludes with two gigs at London’s Hyde Park on July 6 and 13.

Joni Mitchell at the Luminato Festival
Written by admin on June 20, 2013 – 1:12 pm -The Luminato Festival honoured Joni Mitchell this week with a 90-minute on-stage interview with the veteran folk singer and a tribute concert that celebrated her upcoming 70th Birthday.
The tribute show, “Joni: A Portrait in Song – A Birthday Happening Live,” took place at Massey Hall in Toronto on Tuesday night. There were performances from Herbie Hancock, Kathleen Edwards, Glen Hansard, Rufus Wainwright, Esperanza Spalding, Cold Specks, Liam Titcomb, and Lizz Wright. Mitchell was present to recite a new poem, “This Rain, This Rain,” with musical accompaniment by her long-time drummer and collaborator, singer-songwriter Brian Blade, and trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire. She also surprised the audience by singing “Furry Sings the Blues,” “Don’t Interrupt the Sorrow,” and joining the cast on a rendition of “Woodstock”.

Graham Nash announces solo US tour and autobiography

Paul McCartney visits Elvis Presley’s Graceland
Written by admin on May 26, 2013 – 11:34 pm -Paul McCartney dropped by Graceland earlier today to pay tribute to Elvis Presley. McCartney visited the mansion ahead of a gig at Memphis’ FedExForum. This was McCartney’s first Memphis gig since his April 1993 appearance at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration
Written by admin on May 3, 2013 – 3:47 pm -Carole King, James Taylor, Aerosmith, and Jimmy Buffett are among the acts who will appear at “Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration” which takes place on May 30 at the TD Garden in Boston. The benefit concert will raise money for One Fund Boston, set up by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to help the people most affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.
