New exhibition of Bob Dylan paintings in Denmark
Written by admin on August 17, 2010 – 4:40 pm -Bob Dylan will unveil new paintings in an exhibition at the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen next month.
The 40 acrylic paintings and eight drawings from Dylan’s “Brazil Series” were created specifically for the Danish museum and will be on display from September 4, 2010 to January 30, 2011.

Jagger and Scorsese to collaborate on “The History of Music”
Written by admin on July 25, 2010 – 4:39 pm -Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese are to collaborate on a television series for HBO called “The History of Music” which will follow friends over decades to show the evolution of the music industry. The show, which has been in development for three years, was Jagger’s idea and it is expected that he will be an executive producer, with Scorsese directing. |

U2 are top earning musicians

The list, published by Forbes, considers earnings from June 2009 to June 2010. U2 hit the top spot thanks mainly to their highly successful worldwide tour. |

Live Aid – 25th anniversary
Written by admin on July 13, 2010 – 8:12 pm -Today is the 25th anniversary of the Live Aid charity show which was broadcast live around the world from Wembley Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.
Although there were some high profile “no shows,” including many stars who had appeared on the USA for Africa “We Are The World” single, many of the biggest performers of the day were assembled for Live Aid, including Phil Collins (who famously played both gigs), U2, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Bryan Adams, Queen, Duran Duran, Madonna, Elton John, Simple Minds, The Who, The Pretenders and many more. |

Rush receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Written by admin on June 29, 2010 – 7:15 pm -Canadian rock band Rush received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Friday. Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee were in attendance to accept the honour and tributes were paid by Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan, among others.
Corgan said:
“If you would’ve told me in the basement of Glendale Heights, Illinois in 1975 that I would be standing with these guys, I think my head would’ve exploded. I’ve been in this business for about 20 years now, and let me tell you, thee guys are the best of the best. They represent the values that the fans will listen, and will care.” |
