Pete Townshend’s memoir set for 2012 publication

Townshend is promising an “enjoyable” and “honest” account of his life, including the inside story on The Who, from its art-school roots to the present day. |

McCartney to marry Nancy Shevell
Written by admin on May 6, 2011 – 6:21 pm -Sir Paul McCartney and New York businesswoman, Nancy Shevell, are engaged after Paul reportedly popped the question last weekend. McCartney began dating Shevell about four years ago and the pair are commonly seen together at public events.
Shevell, 51, sits on the board of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She is also the vice president for administration of New England Motor Freight.

McCartney’s estimated £495 million fortune puts him at fourth on the list of UK music millionaires, behind musical theatre impresarios Lord Lloyd Webber (£680 million) and Sir Cameron Mackintosh (£675 million), and Zomba Records co-founder Clive Alder (£1.3 billion). |

Jimmy Fallon to pay tribute to Bob Marley
Written by admin on May 4, 2011 – 7:23 am -Musical guests on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” will pay tribute to Bob Marley throughout next week to mark the 30th anniversary of the reggae legend’s death.
The five-day tribute will commence on Monday, May 9, with a performance by Bob’s son, Ziggy. He will be followed by Chris Cornell (May 10), Jennifer Hudson (May 11), Jakob Dylan (May 12) and Lenny Kravitz (May 13). Each artist will play a classic Marley song. |
