Neil Young will receive the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at this year’s Juno Awards. Young is being recognised for his work in co-founding the Farm Aid concert series and the Bridge School for children with severe speech and physical impairments.

Havens released his first album in 1965 and remains an active live and studio performer to this day. His last album was “Nobody Left to Crown.”

Joan was born in Staten Island, New York on January 9, 1941 and began her music career as a teenager performing in the coffee houses in the Boston-Cambridge area of Massachusetts.

The 2011 Grammy Hall of Fame inductees

The Beatles, Fats Domino, Otis Redding and Joan Baez are among the artists whose recordings will be entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2011.

The Grammy Hall of Fame Award was established by The Recording Academy’s National Trustees in 1973. The aim was to “honor recordings of lasting qualitative or historical significance that are at least 25 years old.” To date, 881 recordings have been inducted.
