Columbia Records has released a documentary short chronicling Bob Dylan’s “Self Portrait” sessions and the songs collected on the new “Bootleg Series Vol 10: Another Self Portrait (1969-1971)” set, which is released today.

The documentary includes exclusive interviews with “Self Portrait” producer Bob Johnston, guitarist Dave Bromberg, and organist Al Kooper.

Bruce Springsteen has been voted the Greatest Live Act working now by a panel of writers, industry figures and artists convened by Rolling Stone magazine.

To be eligible for the list, performers must have toured within the last five years and not announced their retirement.

American singer-songwriter and guitarist, JJ Cale, passed away on Friday (July 26) at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California. The 74-year-old had suffered a heart attack.

The latest volume in Bob Dylan’s “Bootleg” series will be released on August 27. “The Bootleg Series Vol. 10 – Another Self Portrait (1969-1971)” will feature 35 previously unreleased recordings, including alternate takes and demos from the sessions that produced the “Self Portrait” and “New Morning” albums, and several live performances.
