Boz Scaggs’ “Memphis” out in March
Written by admin on February 27, 2013 – 9:08 pm -Grammy Award-winning rock legend Boz Scaggs will release his new album “Memphis” on March 5.
Scaggs’ debut album on 429 Records was recorded at Willie Mitchell’s Royal Studio in Memphis where Mitchell recorded Al Green and other Hi Records artists.

ASCAP award for Steven Tyler and Joe Perry
Written by admin on February 26, 2013 – 5:13 pm -Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry will receive ASCAP’s annual Founders Award at the Pop Music Awards in April.
The Founders Award is presented to those who “have made exceptional contributions to music, inspiring and influencing their fellow creators.”

Listen to unreleased Hendrix track “Earth Blues”
Written by admin on February 19, 2013 – 10:18 am -| Legacy Recordings have provided a preview of Jimi Hendrix’s “Earth Blues,” which is one of 12 previously unreleased songs on the forthcoming album “People, Hell and Angels”.
“People, Hell and Angels” features material recorded between 1968 and 1970 as Hendrix was preparing material for the ill-fated “First Rays of the New Rising Sun” album. |

Bruce Springsteen – MusiCares Person of the Year
