• “The Eagles – The Studio Albums 1972-1979” 6-CD box set (2 Apr) and “History of the Eagles” DVD and Blu-ray (30 Apr)
• The Beatles’ iTunes debut for “Let It Be… Naked” (2 Apr)
• OMD’s brand new “English Electric” album in standard, deluxe and vinyl editions (9 Apr)
• Deluxe 2-CD edition of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ “Kaya” (23 Apr)
• Iggy & The Stooges’ new album “Ready to Die” on CD and vinyl (30 Apr)
• Deep Purple’s new album “Now What?!” in standard, deluxe and vinyl editions (30 Apr).

Recordings by Janis Joplin (with Big Brother and the Holding Company), Simon & Garfunkel, Chubby Checker, and The Ramones are among the latest additions to the Libary of Congress’ National Recording Registry.

Every year, the National Recording Preservation Board selects 25 recordings annually that are “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and are at least 10 years old.

• Eric Clapton’s “Old Sock” (12 Mar)
• Elvis Presley’s “Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite – Legacy Edition” – (19 Mar)
• The 10-CD “Sun Blues Box” (26 Mar).

The collection of 12 unreleased Jimi Hendrix recordings, “People, Hell and Angels,” has debuted at #2 on America’s Billboard Album Chart. This is Hendrix’s highest-charting album since “Electric Ladyland,” which topped the chart in 1968.
