Phil Everly dies aged 74
Written by admin on January 4, 2014 – 6:43 am -Phil Everly has sadly died at a hospital in Burbank, California, aged 74. His wife, Patti, told the LA Times that he died from complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Download-only rarities from The Beatles and The Beach Boys
Written by admin on December 12, 2013 – 3:39 pm -The download-only collections “The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963” and The Beach Boys’ “The Big Beat 1963” will be released on December 17.
Both releases are designed to satisfy European copyright laws. From 2014, the EU copyright protection on sound recordings is extended from 50 to 70 years, but this protection does not extend to recordings that have never been released.

MY MUSIC: The Best of the ’60s
Written by admin on November 29, 2013 – 7:05 am -The MY MUSIC series continues on PBS tomorrow with “MY MUSIC: The Best of the ’60s”, which features many classic pop, rock, folk and soul performances from one of the most exciting decades in the history of popular music.
Among the hits featured are “Cherish” by The Association, “Time of The Season” by The Zombies, and “Born To Be Wild” by John Kay & Steppenwolf. There are also final performances by Rob Grill of The Grass Roots and Scott McKenzie.
