BRIT nominations for Plant and Springsteen
Written by admin on January 15, 2011 – 8:17 am -Robert Plant and Bruce Springsteen have been nominated for BRIT Awards in the Best Male and Best International Male Artist categories, respectively.
This is Plant’s first ever BRIT nomination and follows the release of his critically acclaimed “Band of Joy” album. The key release for Springsteen fans in 2010 was the superb box set “The Promise – The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story.” Springsteen won when nominated in the Best International Male Artist category 25 years ago and was also nominated in 2010, 2006 and 2003. |
Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Mumford & Sons, Take That and Rumer all received multiple nominations. Suprisingly, there was no nomination for the ubiquitous Lady Gaga in the International Female Artist category.
