Bonnie Tyler will represent Britain at Eurovision
Written by admin on March 8, 2013 – 1:06 pm -Bonnie Tyler will represent Britain at this year’s Eurovision song contest, which will be held in Malmo, Sweden in May.
Tyler says:
“It is an honour to represent my country and is also a wonderful way to ensure that my song ‘Believe In Me’ reaches the widest possible audience.
It is a very strong, catchy and melodic song that appeals to a wide range of people. Desmond Child partially wrote this song at the dinner table at his house in Nashville whilst we were all eating together.”
Desmond Child’s previous songwriting credits include Robbie Williams’ “Old Before I Die,” Aerosmith’s “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” and Bon Jovi’s “Keep the Faith”.
This will be the second year in a row that a veteran artist has been chosen to represent Britain in the contest. Last year’s entry was Engelbert Humperdinck who finished in 25th place. With the political nature of the voting, Tyler will do well to finish higher.
