Andre 3000 to play Jimi Hendrix?
Written by admin on July 7, 2011 – 7:05 pm -| OutKast’s Andre 3000 is set to take on the lead role in a biopic of Jimi Hendrix, according to English actress Hayley Atwell, who is starring in the blockbuster “Captain America” this summer.

A Jimi Hendrix biopic has been rumoured for years, with various actors linked to the role, including Lenny Kravitz. Andre put his own name forward to play Hendrix in 2004, so perhaps his wish is about to come true. On a positive note, he does have past acting experience, including a role in the Travolta movie “Be Cool,” but this would certainly be his most challenging role to date.
Like Jimi, Andre is of African American and Native American descent.
