Acoustic tour for Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson
Written by admin on November 30, 2010 – 8:31 pm -Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson will perform an acoustic tour in the UK in September 2011. The 13-date tour will feature Tull classics, lesser-known songs and some new tracks. Anderson will be joined on stage by German guitarist Florian Opahle and pianist/ accordionist/percussionist John O’Hara.

- Fri, September 9 – Hayes, The Beck Theatre
- Sat, September 10 – London, Union Chapel
- Sun, September 11 – Camberley, Camberley Theatre
- Sun, September 18 – Buxton, Opera House
- Mon, September 19 – Gateshead, Sage
- Tue, September 20 – York, Grand Opera House
- Wed, September 21 – Grimsby, Central Hall
- Thurs, September 22 – Burnley, The Mechanics.
Commenting on the tour, Anderson said:
| “I have always wanted to go out in the UK with a small line-up, to play and to restructure the songs and music for a more intimate and personalised performance. After many years of performing in this way for radio broadcasts in the USA, it seems like fun to bring this approach to the UK fans, old and new, and to make them feel like they are in my living room for an impromptu family concert.” |
Anderson will play a Christmas show at Canterbury Cathedral, England on December 18, 2010, but it is already sold out.
Last month saw the release of a deluxe three-disc edition of Jethro Tull’s second album “Stand Up.”
