“Keith Richards: Life” autobiography
Written by admin on October 16, 2010 – 6:47 am -As expected, Keith Richards’ forthcoming autobiography, “Life”, is a frank and revealing account of the guitarist’s personal and professional life.
The book will be released on October 26 and extracts are published in today’s issue of The Times. |
In the 600-page book, Richards provides insight into:
- how the Rolling Stones got together and enjoyed their early fame
- his encounters with the law, including the Redlands drug bust in 1967
- the death of Brian Jones
- his personal relationships, including marrying Brian Jones’ former girlfriend Anita Pallenberg
- his long-term drug habit and how he quit cocaine after falling from a tree in 2006
- life on the road as a member of the biggest band in the world, including the 1972 tour which became known as the Cocaine and Tequila Sunrise tour.
It’s no secret that Richards and Jagger have had a tumultuous relationship and Richards doesn’t shy away from this. He claims Jagger has been “unbearable” since the 1980s, but in a more conciliatory tone, he also says:
“I love the man dearly; I’m still his mate. But he makes it very difficult to be his friend.” |
“Keith Richards: Life” can be pre-ordered now. It is available half price from Amazon UK and 46% off from Amazon US. It is also available as an audio book read by the author.
