A long-awaited second volume of the Beatles’ performances at the BBC will be released in November. “The Beatles: On Air – Live At The BBC Volume 2” will feature 63 tracks, with 37 unreleased performances and 23 previously unheard recordings of in-studio chat between the band and the BBC radio hosts.

The original “Live at the BBC” album was a huge success when released in 1994, topping the UK charts and selling five million copies worldwide within weeks.

Commenting on the release, Paul McCartney said:

“There’s a lot of energy and spirit. We are going for it, not holding back at all, trying to put in the best performance of our lifetimes.”

Ten of the songs featured on the release were never recorded by the group for EMI in the 1960s, including covers of the standard “Beautiful Dreamer” and Chuck Berry’s “I’m Talking About You,” neither of which have appeared even as live versions on a previous release. There are also six different versions of rarities that featured on the 1994 album, namely: “Lucille,” “Memphis, Tennessee,” “The Hippy Hippy Shake,” “I Got A Woman,” “Glad All Over” and “Sure To Fall”.
