Movie role for Robert Plant
Written by admin on March 29, 2013 – 8:05 am -Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant will make his feature film debut in Terence Malick’s as-yet-untitled movie about the music scene in Austin, Texas. The news was revealed to Indiewire by actor Ryan Gosling, who will star in the movie along with Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Rooney Mara and Val Kilmer.
Gosling said that there will also be appearances from the musicians Patti Smith, The Black Lips, and Johnny Rotten.
Robert Plant has also been busy in the studio with his partner Patty Griffin. He arranged and sang harmony on this great track from her forthcoming album “American Kid”.
“American Kid” is available for pre-order now in standard, deluxe (CD/DVD) and vinyl editions.
Plant and his band the Sensational Shape Shifters are currently touring Australia and New Zealand. They will then return to the US for appearances at the JamBase Live Festival in George, Washington and the Forecastle Festival in Louisville, Kentucky in July.
