Fans pay 35th anniversary tribute to Elvis Presley
Written by admin on August 16, 2012 – 7:19 pm -An estimated 75,000 people took part in the annual candlelight vigil in Memphis last night to pay tribute to Elvis Presley on the 35th anniversary of his death.
The staggering number highlights the enduring appeal of Elvis and the incredible loyalty of his fans.
The vigil forms part of a week of activities in Memphis organised by Elvis Presley Enterprises, including various shows, get togethers with Elvis-related personalities, and the 35th Anniversary Concert at the FedExForum tonight, which includes a duet between Elvis and his daughter Lisa Marie.
