Jose Feliciano pays tribute to Elvis
Written by admin on June 20, 2012 – 7:54 pm -Jose Feliciano will pay tribute to his childhood hero Elvis Presley with his forthcoming album “King: By Jose Feliciano.”
The album will include covers of a number of Elvis Presley hits and Jose’s own favourites, including “Don’t Be Cruel,” “All Shook Up,” “Teddy Bear,” “In The Ghetto” and “Always On My Mind.” The latter is the debut single from the album and is available now. |
The twelve tracks on “King: By Jose Feliciano” were recorded over a year in Jose’s private studio. The Grammy-winning artist arranged each track, played all instruments, and even performed his own backing vocals.
The executive producer for the project is Elvis’ long time friend George Klein, who broadcasts an Elvis radio show on SiriusXM. The album will be released on Select-O-Hits on August 7. There is also an Elvis connection there, as Select-O-Hits is owned by Johnny Phillips, the nephew of the man who first recorded Elvis in 1954.
“King: By Jose Feliciano” is out in North America on August 7 and can be pre-ordered now.
