The 25th anniversary of Paul Simon’s “Graceland” album has been celebrated with the release of remastered and expanded editions of the classic album which spawned the hits “You Can Call Me Al,” “Graceland” and “The Boy in the Bubble.”

The following editions of “Graceland – 25th Anniversary” are available now:

• single CD edition – this contains a remastered version of the original album and bonus tracks, including a demo of “Homeless,” an alternate version of “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes,” an early version of “All Around the World or The Myth of Fingerprints,” and an audio track on the story of Graceland, as told by Paul Simon
• CD/DVD edition – the CD contains all the content that is on the single CD title, plus demos for “You Can Call Me Al” and “Crazy Love.” Clearly, the aim was to provide the customer with added incentive to buy the two-disc edition. The DVD features the “Under African Skies” documentary on the making of “Graceland,” three original music videos and the “Saturday Night Live” performance of “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes”
• 2 CD/2 DVD box set – for the real diehard fans, this set contains the same DVD content as the single CD/DVD version, plus the original 1987 “African Concert” from Zimbabwe, and an 80-page book featuring new and archival photos and interviews with Paul Simon. The CD content is the same as on the CD/DVD title (original album plus 6 bonus tracks), but for some reason the bonus content is put on a separate CD here. You’ll also get a replica of Paul Simon’s handwritten lyrics pad, which is a fun novelty
• 180-gram 12″ vinyl edition – this features the full remastered “Graceland” album, three bonus tracks, a Graceland poster, and access to download the complete album.

“Under African Skies” is also available as a standalone Blu-ray title, including bonus extended interviews. The documentary examines the enduring appeal of the “Graceland” album through interviews with music legends such as Paul McCartney and Quincy Jones. Director, Joe Berlinger, also followed Simon to South Africa for a reunion concert with the original “Graceland” musicians.
