Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist, Bob Weston, dies aged 64
Written by admin on January 6, 2012 – 5:31 pm -Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist, Bob Weston, has died at his home in north London after suffering a gastrointestinal hemorrhage. He was 64.

Weston played with Fleetwood Mac from 1972 to 1973, replacing guitarist Danny Kirwin. His first studio work with the band was on the album “Penguin” where he played lead guitar, harmonica and banjo. He also wrote the instrumental “Caught in the Rain” and joined Christine McVie on vocals for “Did You Ever Love Me.”

Weston also played some great lead guitar on the album “Mystery to Me,” and co-wrote the song “Forever” with John McVie and Bob Welch.
After leaving Fleetwood Mac, Weston recorded with many other artists, including Murray Head, Sandy Denny and Dick Morrisey. He also released the solo albums “Night Light” (1980), “Studio Picks” (1981) and “There’s a Heaven” (1999).
