Classic Pop Icons

Pink Floyd and EMI Music have kicked off the extensive “Why Pink Floyd…?” remasters campaign with multi-format editions of the classic album “Dark Side of the Moon,” as well as standard (“Discovery”) editions of 14 albums, available individually or in the Discovery Studio Album Box Set.

The following 14 CDs are available in remastered format as “Discovery” editions:

• The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
• A Saucerful of Secrets
• Soundtrack from the Film More
• Ummagumma
• Atom Heart Mother
• Meddle
• Obscured by Clouds
• The Dark Side of the Moon
• Wish You Were Here
• Animals
• The Wall
• The Final Cut
• A Momentary Lapse of Reason
• The Division Bell.

The 16-disc box set containing the above albums will come with a 60-page photo book designed by Storm Thorgerson.

“The Dark Side of the Moon” is also available in vinyl, “Experience” (2-disc) and “Immersion” (6-disc) editions. The 6-disc set features the classic album digitally remastered and a wealth of rare and unreleased audio and video material, including an early album mix and a live performance of “Dark Side Of The Moon” performed at Wembley in 1974. The set also includes a 40-page book, exclusive merchandise and facsimile collectables.

The “Why Pink Floyd…?” campaign will continue in November with vinyl, “Experience” (2-disc) and “Immersion” (5-disc) editions of “Wish You Were Here” both featuring bonus material from the band’s 1974 Wembley dates.

A single disc greatest hits package titled “A Foot In The Door – The Best Of Pink Floyd” is also scheduled for November 8.

After some time off to get over the expense of Christmas, February 28 sees the release of vinyl, “Experience” (3-disc) and “Immersion” (7-disc) editions of “The Wall.”
