Leonard Cohen – New album and box set
Written by admin on October 25, 2011 – 2:57 pm -Leonard Cohen has confirmed that his new album, titled “Old Ideas,” will be released on January 31, 2012. This is Cohen’s first album of new material since 2004’s “Dear Heather.”
Cohen spoke to the press about the new album While in Oviedo, Spain to collect an award, and admitted that the writing process was difficult:
| “I’ve played it for a few people and they seem to like it…When you’re writing, you’re always an absolute beginner. Each time you take up your guitar or sit by a blank page, you start from scratch. It’s a struggle.” |
| This month saw the release of “Leonard Cohen – The Complete Studio Albums Collection” which contains remastered editions of each of Cohen’s 11 studio albums, recorded between 1967 and 2004.
The CDs are packaged in mini-LP replica sleeves and the set comes with an informative booklet. |
