Record breaking music deal for Michael Jackson
Written by admin on March 16, 2010 – 5:41 pm -Michael Jackson’s estate has signed what is claimed to be the most lucrative record deal of all time with Sony Corp. The estate will receive up to $250 million for 10 albums over seven years.
The deal is expected to cover an album of previously unreleased songs due for release by the end of 2010, a collection of remixes and expanded reissues of his classic albums, including “Off the Wall” and “Bad.”

Michael Jackson died on June 25 last year. Since then, Sony has sold an estimated 31 million of his albums globally. It is predicted that by the first anniversary of Jackson’s death, the estate will have earned $250 million from sales of music, merchandise and tickets to the film “This Is It.”
