Clarence Clemons suffers stroke
Written by admin on June 12, 2011 – 10:13 pm -Best wishes go out to the E Street Band’s Clarence Clemons who is reportedly seriously ill after suffering a stroke. The news broke this evening on showbiz411.com and was later verified by Rolling Stone.
Clemons, aged 69, has suffered a number of medical setbacks in the past decade and recently had both knees replaced and spinal fusion surgery. |
Clemons has been playing saxophone with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band for four decades and is hugely popular with fans. Their last gig together was a special web broadcast at Asbury Park’s Carousel House in December 2010. He has also recently joined forces with Lady Gaga for two songs on her album “Born This Way” and appeared with her last month on American Idol.
The E Street Band would not be the same without the “Big Man” on sax, so hopefully he will be on the mend soon.
