The day the Beatles rocked Vegas
Written by admin on March 4, 2014 – 9:37 pm -Our friends over at Vegas.com have put together an interesting piece about the Beatles and Las Vegas, in celebration of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Fab Four’s visit to Sin City.
The Beatles two Vegas shows in August 1964 were booked by the Sahara Hotel, who staged the shows at the Las Vegas Convention Center because their own main showroom was too small. The band entertained fans with songs such as “She Loves You,” “Do You Want To Know a Secret, ” I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “All My Loving,” and “Twist and Shout”.
The Beatles would never play the city again, but their presence is felt in modern-day Vegas with “LOVE by Cirque du Soleil” continuing to attract enthusiastic audiences to The Mirage.
